Nanami Takahashi freut sich auf den Beginn ihres Highschool-Lebens und nimmt sich vor, so viele neue Freunde wie möglich zu finden. In ihrer Schule wird unter den anderen Mädchen viel über einen besonders populären Jungen gesprochen: Motoharu Yano, in den sich angeblich zwei Drittel aller Mädchen in seiner Mittelschulklasse verliebt haben. Ihre Platznachbarin Yuri Yamamoto kann Yano allerdings überhaupt nicht leiden. Nanami hat keine Ahnung wer Yano eigentlich ist, bis zum Tag der Klassensprecherwahl: Nanami will ihre neue Freundin Mizuguchi als Klassensprecherin vorschlagen, hat aber deren Namen vergessen. Zufällig trifft sie auf dem Flur auf Yano und fragt diesen nach dem Namen dieser Freundin, ohne zu wissen, wen sie da vor sich hat. Yano legt Nanami herein und nennt ihr einen falschen Namen, was ihr einen peinlichen Moment vor der Klasse beschert. Zuerst ist Nanami wütend auf Yano, aber mit der Zeit beginnt sie ihn immer mehr zu mögen.

A girl from Asahi middle school tells her about guy named Motoharu Yano, who was very popular with the girls and happens to be in their very same class. It isn't long until Nanami develops a crush on him, herself.
