After School Midnighters (放課後ミッドナイターズ, Hōkago Midnighters) is a 2012 Japanese computer animated comedy film directed by Hitoshi Takekiyo. It released on 25 August 2012 in Japan and was originally based upon a short film that Takekiyo had made for a musical channel. The producers of After School Midnighters submitted the film for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, but it was not selected for the final round. The film did go on to gain some attention at the 2013 Fantasia International Film Festival earned a special mention for the Audience Award for Best Animation Feature, but did not win. The movie was released in the United States on 2 September 2016, dubbed in English, on the television channel Toku, along with the short series based on the movie. ()
