He was subsequently cast in the television seriesGrounded for Life, appearing in a recurring role between 2001 and 2004. His first film role was in theskateboarding-themedGrind (2003).In 2003, he starred as Heath in themade-for-televisionremake ofWuthering Heights, which premiered onMTV, and filmed his role in the remake ofThe Texas Chainsaw Massacre. In 2005, afterGrounded for Lifewas canceled, Vogel appeared in four films, with the most notable roles as Eric Richman, the romantic interest ofBlake Lively's character inThe Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and a supporting role inRumor Has It..., as Blake Burroughs, the son ofKevin Costner's character.He co-starred as Christian, the fiancé ofEmmy Rossum's character in thedisaster filmPoseidon (2006), a remake of the 1972 filmThe Poseidon Adventure.
