"Matt and Jenny" not only aired in Canada but was also sold to Italy, France, and West Germany. Primarily Canadian, the show occasionally featured U.S. guest stars and animals like Hollywood wolves and bears, along with an elephant from Ohio.

The children fear that the captain will return them to England or else place them in an orphan's home in Montreal. They escape in Halifax but are falsely accused of theft. Adam Cardston comes to their rescue, offering to take them to their uncle's farm.
