In an alternate world, the Cold War has continued to persist for 140 years. As a result, the world was divided into two factions: the West Block, and the East Block. As the Cold War drags on, the tension between the two factions, as well as the amount of nuclear weapons they have, rise. Mylene Hoffman is a female cyborg who is a spy for the West Block. The Lost World of Communism is a three-part British documentary series which examines the legacy of Communism twenty years on from the fall of the Berlin Wall. Produced by Peter Molloy and Lucy Hetherington, the series takes a retrospective look at life behind the Iron Curtain between 1945 and 1989, focusing on three countries in the Eastern Bloc - East Germany, Czechoslovakia and Romania. Through film and television footage and the personal recollections of those who lived in these countries, the series offers a glimpse of what daily life was like during the years of Communist rule. The Lost World of Communism debuted on BBC Two on Saturday 14 March 2009 at 9:00pm. There is also a book which accompanies the series.

Gana la Verde was a controversial game show which first aired in 2004 that promised the contestants legal help with getting a green card. There was a mild controversy when the advertising suggested that a green card would be the automatic prize for the victor. The events on the show, often testing a character's stomach or willpower, were similar to Fear Factor, another controversial game show that aired at the same time. The program played on third-party Spanish-language channels in Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, and Dallas. The program was created by Lenard Liberman, executive vice president of Liberman Broadcasting. The show was produced and directed by Spanish-language producer Adrian Vallarino and hosted by Mexican action sports personality George X. The show wrapped production after its 3rd season at the beginning of 2005 but re-runs were still being aired once a week as of September 2007.
