The fourth season of Upin & Ipin and Kawan-Kawan started on March 15, 2010 with the episode "Juara Kampung (Part 1)", in addition to the introduction of a new brand with title cards in the form of colored pencils in the exercise book. The first season of Upin & Ipin was published specifically to celebrate Ramadhan 2007 to educate children about the meaning and importance of the holy month. The great response to this short series prompted Les' Copaque to publish another season in connection with the next month of Ramadan. The first season of Upin & Ipin won the Best Animation award at the 2007 Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival.
