MasterChef Canada(TV show/series, 2014-2021)

The seventh season of MasterChef Canada, titled MasterChef Canada: Back to Win, premiered on February 14, 2021, on CTV and concluded on May 16, 2021. Filmed in June 2020, this is an all-star season, featuring returning contestants from previous seasons. Chinese-Canadian dessert bar and bakery owner Christopher Siu from Season 2 was crowned the winner, with Andrew "Andy" Hay and Dorothea "Thea" VanHerwaarden finishing as co-runner-ups. Siu became the first previously eliminated contestant to win the competition. Hay and VanHerwaarden were previously runner-ups in Season 5 and Season 4, respectively. This marks the first time that three contestants competed in the finale. ()

The sixth season of MasterChef Canada aired its special 2-hour season premiere on April 8, 2019 on CTV, concluding on June 10, 2019 with Jennifer Crawford of Kingston, Nova Scotia crowned as the winner and Andre Bhagwandat of Scarborough, Ontario finishing as the runner-up. Crawford became the first non-binary person and the first person from the Maritimes to win the competition. In a new twist this season, each judge selected six home cooks to invite to the Top 18, with each member receiving personal invitations delivered via courier. Runner-up Andre Bhagwandat, who finished second place returned to MasterChef Canada: Back to Win. He placed 7th. ()

The fifth season of MasterChef Canada originally aired on April 3, 2018, on CTV and concluded on June 19. Filming began in September 2017 and ended in November 2017. Sherwood Park resident Beccy Stables (originally from Grimsby, England) won the trophy, title, and $100,000 prize money. At the age of 19, Stables became the youngest champion in the history of MasterChef Canada, a title she currently holds, and tied the record for being the youngest contestant to appear and compete on the show. Following her victory, Stables moved to Kelowna, British Columbia, and currently runs a baking website called dessertclub. Stables also guest starred in an episode of the sixth season. This season aired on June 26, 2018, on TLC in India. Runner-up Andrew "Andy" Hay, who finished second, Marissa Leon-John, who finished seventh and Jennifer "Jen" Jenkins, who finished eighth, all returned to MasterChef Canada: Back to Win. Jen placed tenth, Marissa placed eighth, and Andy placed the same placement from season 5. ()

The fourth season of MasterChef Canada originally premiered on March 3, 2017 on CTV before concluding on June 1. In the United States, this season started showing on The Cooking Channel on October 10, 2017. In the finale, Trevor Connie was announced as the winner of the season. Connie also guest starred in an episode of season five. This was the first season to forsake the show's traditional audition phase, instead directly facing the twenty-four finalists with a surprise challenge in their hometowns that would be finished in the MasterChef Canada kitchen. Runner-up Dorothea "Thea" VanHerwaarden, who originally finished second, Mai Nguyen, who originally finished fourth and Barrie McConachie, who originally finished third place all returned to MasterChef Canada: Back to Win. Barrie placed 9th. Mai placed 5th. Thea was runner-up again. ()

The third season of MasterChef Canada originally aired on February 14, 2016 and concluded on June 19. Filming began in September 2015 and ended in November 2015. Torontonian Mary Berg won this season to become the first female winner of MasterChef Canada. Following her victory, Berg pursued her passion for food through catering, confections, recipe development and as a cooking expert on CTV's Your Morning, The Social, and The Marilyn Denis Show. Berg also guest starred in episodes of seasons four, five and seven. She has since hosted her own original cooking television shows, Mary's Kitchen Crush (2019-2020) and Mary Makes It Easy (2021–present) for CTV and CTV Life Channel. Berg also hosts The Good Stuff with Mary Berg, a daytime talk show on CTV. Jeremy Senaris, who originally finished second, and April Lee Baker, who finished in fifth place, both returned to MasterChef Canada: Back to Win. April Lee came in 11th place while Jeremy came in 6th place. ()

The first and inaugural season of the Canadian competitive reality television series MasterChef Canada, featuring Michael Bonacini, Alvin Leung and Claudio Aprile premiered on CTV on January 20, 2014, and concluded on April 28 with Chinese-Canadian chemical engineering university student Eric Chong named the winner. Filming commenced in September 2013 and wrapped up in November 2013. At the age of 21, Eric was the youngest winner of MasterChef Canada at the time of his victory, a record he held until Beccy Stables became the champion of the show's fifth season at age 19. After his victory, Chong partnered up with Chef Alvin Leung to open up Rebel and Demon "R&D" Restaurant located in Spadina, Toronto, specializing in East Asian cuisine; the restaurant was promotionally featured in a restaurant takeover in the third season. Chong also guest starred in an episode of the second season and the fifth season, and appeared in the show's MasterChef Canada: All-Star Family Edition 2016 holiday special, where his team was the first one eliminated. Contestant Dora Cote, who came in 11th place, later returned to MasterChef Canada: Back to Win, where she came in 12th. ()
