The eighth season of Winx Club aired from 15 April to 17 September 2019, on the Rai YoYo preschool channel in Italy. The English version premiered on Nickelodeon Asia on 8 January 2020. This season was heavily retooled to appeal to a preschool target audience, and it is only loosely connected to the rest of the series. The creative team at Rainbow SpA (which is co-owned by Viacom) restyled the characters to appear younger, and the plot lines were simplified. Most of the show's longtime crew members were not called back to work on this season, including art director Simone Borselli, who had designed the series' characters from season 1 to 7, and singer Elisa Rosselli, who had performed a majority of the songs. In another change from previous seasons, Nickelodeon's American team served as consultants rather than directly overseeing the episodes; at the time, Nickelodeon was instead working with Rainbow SpA on a new series called Club 57. The American writers remained as consultants for season 8 and Nick's Pierluigi Gazzolo continued in his role as a director for Rainbow SpA. The Winx Club notices that some of the stars in the sky are disappearing. They determine that the return of Valtor is linked to this strange occurrence. The fairies travel to Lumenia, the Magic Dimension's brightest star and the light source for Stella's home planet of Solaria. Lumenia's queen gives them the power of Cosmix to protect the magical universe's billions of stars. Along the way, the Winx also meet Twinkly; a helpful golden creature who powers the very core of Lumenia.

The seventh season of Winx Club premiered on Nickelodeon in Asia on 22 June 2015. It later aired from 21 September to 3 October 2015 on Rai Gulp in Italy, and from January 10 to April 10, 2016 on the Nick Jr. Channel in the United States. The season consists of 26 episodes. Nickelodeon first announced the season at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con, with the premiere tentatively scheduled for fall 2014. In a press release on April 7, 2014, Rainbow S.r.l. and Nickelodeon officially announced their continuing partnership on the seventh season, with the premiere now set for 2015. Iginio Straffi, the creator of the series, said of the season: "It will be a privilege to partner once more with Nickelodeon on this."

In this adventure the fairies discover the real importance of the rare Fairy Animals, which they must save from Kalshara, an evil shape-shifter and her clumsy brother, Brafilius.
The sixth season of Winx Club premiered on Nickelodeon in the United States on September 29, 2013 and on Rai 2 in Italy on 6 January 2014. This season focuses mainly on the Trix allying with Selina, a young witch from Earth who has just enrolled at Cloud Tower as a freshman student, and who is an old childhood best friend of Bloom. The Winx must earn two new fairy transformations: Bloomix (which is derived from Bloom's almighty Dragon Flame), and Mythix to enter into the fictional Legendarium World and lock the magical book of myths and legends once and for all. In order to do so, they must also find Eldora, the Fairy Godmother, who, like Bloom, has quite a close connection with Selina, and the only one who knows how to seal the indestructible Legendarium for eternity.

A new member of the Winx Club (Aisha, the Fairy of Waves) is introduced in the season's first episode. Meanwhile, the Trix are freed from their prison by Darkar, who becomes their leader. In February 2011, Viacom (owner of Nickelodeon) became a co-owner of the Rainbow studio. Rainbow and Nickelodeon Animation Studio produced a Winx Club revival series, which began with four television specials that retell the first two seasons of the original show. The fourth special, "The Shadow Phoenix," retold the plot of the second season and premiered on October 16, 2011.

During their adventures, they become good friends and get to know some of the boys from another school called Red Fountain, but also encounter some adversaries, including a trio of young witches called the Trix. In February 2011, Nickelodeon's parent company Viacom became a co-owner of the Rainbow studio. Rainbow and Nickelodeon Animation Studio produced a Winx Club revival series, which began with four television specials that retell the first two seasons of the original show. The first three specials summarized the plot of the first season with new animation, and they aired on June 27, August 1, and September 18, 2011.
