Sukanya is an Indian actress who mainly worked in Tamil films and Malayalam films, in addition to Kannada and Telugu films. Apart from acting Sukanya is a trained Bharanatyam dancer, Music composer, Lyricist and voice actor. She was one of the lead Tamil actresses from 1991 to 1998. She has also composed two devotional albums, namely Azhagu and Thirupathi Thirukudai Thiruvizha. ()

Sukanya (born July 8, 1969) is a South Indian actress, singer, music composer, Bharatanatyam danseuse and voice actor. She has acted in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu movies, totaling over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She has composed two devotional albums namely Azhagu, Thirupathi Thirukudai Thiruvizha. She has won five Best Actress Filmfare awards for her performance in Tamil films including Puthu Nellu Puthu Nathu, Walter Vetrivel and Rajarajan.
