Julian Alexander Kitchener-Fellowes, Baron Fellowes of West Stafford, (born 17 August 1949), known professionally as Julian Fellowes, is an English actor, novelist, film director, screenwriter, and Conservative peer. He has received numerous accolades, including an Academy Award and two Emmy Awards as well as nominations for four BAFTA Awards, a Golden Globe Award, two Olivier Awards, and a Tony Award. Fellowes won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the Robert Altman directed murder-mystery Gosford Park (2001). He also wrote the screenplays for Vanity Fair (2004), Separate Lies (2005), The Young Victoria (2009), and The Chaperone (2018). He gained notoriety as the creator, writer and executive producer of the multiple award-winning ITV series Downton Abbey (2010–2015) and the HBO series... ()
