Also he has written original and adapted scripts forUniversal,Lions Gate,Sidney Kimmeland Wildwood Films. His books have been published in nine countries and his stories have appeared inThe New Yorker,Travel + Leisure, andZoetrope: All-Story, as well as onSelected Shorts. His short story The Smoker won anO. Henry Awardand was optioned byParamount Pictures. David graduated fromMcQuaid Jesuit High School. He received his undergraduate degree fromGeorgetown Universityand Masters from Columbia University. Now lives inNew Yorkwith his wife and children.
