Alan Ruscoeis a British actor who is best known for his work as various aliens, monsters and androids in theStar Warsfilms and the television seriesDoctor Who. On television, he has played Baraquel, Sariel and Araquiel in Sky One'sHexseason 2, as well as a number of characters in the2005 seriesofDoctor Who:Blon Fel-Fotch Passameer-Day Slitheenin "Aliens of London" and "World War Three" (and briefly in "Boom Town"), leadAutonin "Rose", the Anne Droid in "Bad Wolf" and "The Parting of the Ways", Trine-E in "Bad Wolf", and Lute of the Forest of Cheem in "The End of the World". Ruscoe has also appeared in theDoctor Whoaudio dramasThe Veiled Leopard,The Settling,Gallifrey: AnnihilationandBernice Summerfield: Paradise FrostBig Finish Productions. He also played Andrew Stone, a Mars colonist later taken over by an alien lifeform in the November 2009Doctor Whospecial "The Waters of Mars". In films, Ruscoe has playedDaultay Dofine,Lott DodandPlo KooninStar Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and the Mangalore Kino inThe Fifth Element. He also played "the Poulterer" in a 2004 television adaptation ofA Christmas Carol. He appears alongside Terence Stamp, Vanessa Redgrave and Gemma Arterton in "Song For Marion" released this year. In theatre, he has played Deputy and Snake Preacher inWhistle Down the Wind, Riff Raff inThe Rocky Horror Showin the English Theatre Frankfurt, Bob Cratchit in the 2004 touring version ofScroogeand Gussie Fink-Nottle in the 2007 UK tour ofBy Jeeves. In Germany, he played "Bob" the pizza-boy-eating alien for theT-Onlinetelevision and poster campaign.
