Devil's Bride (Lithuanian: Velnio nuotaka) is the first Lithuanian musical created in 1974 and based on the book by Kazys Boruta Baltaragio malūnas (English: Whitehorn Mill). Due to its popularity it is sometimes called a Lithuanian Jesus Christ Superstar rock opera. This musical is a joint creation by the director Arūnas Žebriūnas, composer Vyacheslav Ganelin and scriptwriter Sigitas Geda. ()

About The Devil's Bride

A story of an impish devil who used to be an angel but got tired of singing Hosannah and so was condemned to live on earth. From his home in a windmill, he pursues love and happiness in a hilarious and sometimes tragic turmoil that affects the whole countryside.
