Wrestling Society X was a short-lived professional wrestling-based television series produced in 2006 by Big Vision Entertainment. The weekly television series formerly aired on MTV, MTV2, MTV Tr3s, and over a dozen other MTV outlets throughout the world. WSXtra, an extra program featuring WSX matches and interviews not broadcast on television, was available on the promotion's MTV website and Video on Demand. WSX was presented as a secret society of wrestling that used a venue referred to as the WSX Bunker, complete with an artificially worn-out looking ring for its matchups. In matches held within this venue, falls count anywhere was the stipulation. The program also stood out due to its unorthodox approach to pro wrestling; this included frequent use of highly expressive plants, crowd sound effects, electrical sound effects, visual effects, and camera shaking when a wrestler would fall prey to electrical weapons. Along with wrestling, WSX featured musical guests playing at the start of each television broadcast, with some band members joining the broadcast team after the performance.

American Gladiators is an American competition television program that aired weekly in syndication from September 1989 to May 1996. The series matched a cast of amateur athletes against each other, as well as against the show's own gladiators, in contests of strength and agility. The concept was created by Dan Carr and John C. Ferraro, who held the original competition at Erie Tech High School in Erie, Pennsylvania. They sold the show to The Samuel Goldwyn Company where the concept was enhanced and became American Gladiators. An effort in 2004 to launch a live American Gladiators show on the Las Vegas Strip became mired in a securities fraud prosecution. However, the television series was restarted in 2008. Episodes from the original series were played on ESPN Classic from 2007 to 2009. Several episodes are available for download on Apple's iTunes Service.

RollerJam is an American television series featuring roller derby that aired on The Nashville Network from 1999 to 2000. It was the first attempt to bring roller derby to TV since RollerGames. RollerJam was derived from the original roller derby, but newer skaters used inline skates to modernize the sport. The program was taped at Universal Studios Stage 21 in Orlando, Florida, known as RollerJam Arena and now the Impact Wrestling Zone, for the first and second seasons and the former American Gladiators arena in the show's final season. Football Italia was a television programme in the United Kingdom showing Italian football that ran from 1992 to 2002 on Channel 4, and continued until 2008 on other channels. It was known as Football Italiano in its final season.The show centred around live coverage of Serie A, the top division in the Italian football league system. James Richardson presented the show for a large part of its existence.The first live match shown was a 3-3 draw between Sampdoria and Lazio on 6 September 1992, attracting three million UK viewers. Gazzetta Football Italia, a highlights show, became the highest-rated Saturday morning program in Channel 4's history at the time, with around 800,000 viewers a week in its first season, 1992–93. At its peak in the 1990s, Football Italia attracted over 3 million viewers, and remains the most watched programme in the UK about a non-British domestic football league. Presenter James Richardson was popular for his humour and his ability to avoid many of the cliches of football presenting.After being shown on Five in the 2007-08 season, Football Italiano was cancelled by the channel and did not continue elsewhere on television.

Jackpot Bowling was a professional bowling show on NBC from January 9, 1959 to June 24, 1960 and again from September 19, 1960 to March 13, 1961. Jackpot Bowling was the first national TV bowling show since Bowling Headliners aired in the early days of television. Jackpot Bowling aired on Fridays at 10:45 PM following the Cavalcade of Sports Friday Night Fight. Leo Durocher was the show's first host, but bowed out after only two shows and was replaced by Mel Allen. Allen's lack of bowling knowledge made him an unpopular host, however. On April 10, 1959 Bud Palmer became the show's third host. Allen returned in October 1959 and remained with the show until April 1960, after which Palmer returned and hosted through June. The show was put on a brief hiatus after the June 24, 1960 episode, as its Cavalcade of Sports lead-in had ended its run on NBC. When it returned on September 19, 1960, a retooled version hit the airwaves; the series not only moved to Monday nights at 10:30, but Bayuk Cigars replaced Phillies Cigars as sponsor, the Hollywood Legion Lanes replaced Wayne, New Jersey's T-Bowl as the show's venue, and Milton Berle took over as host with Chick Hearn providing play-by-play. The show now ran 30 minutes, and the professional bowler challenges were supplemented with segments of celebrities being interviewed by Berle and then rolling a shot for charity.

Living Lahaina is an American reality television series on MTV. The series, filmed over a three-month period on location in Lahaina, focused on a group of twenty-something surf instructors and their father-figure-boss at the Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy. Living Lahaina also followed cast members throughout travels to Indonesia, California, and Kauai. Living Lahaina premiered on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 10:30 p.m. on MTV and was scheduled to run for eight episodes. However, only 3 episodes were shown on MTV. Following the style of MTV's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, The Hills and Maui Fever, Living Lahaina was shot in the format of a scripted television show. Cast members did not speak directly to the camera. Instead, the show made use of a Dukes of Hazzard style voice-over narrative periodically throughout each episode, to give background or sum up storylines.
