If both combat robots are still operational at the end of the match the winner is determined by a point system based on damage, aggression, and strategy. The television show BattleBots aired on the American cable network Comedy Central for five seasons, covering five BattleBots tournaments. The first season aired starting in August 2000, and the fifth season aired starting in August 2002. Hosts of BattleBots were Bil Dwyer and Sean Salisbury and correspondents included former Baywatch actresses Donna D'Errico, Carmen Electra, and Traci Bingham, former Playboy Playmate Heidi Mark, and identical twins Randy and Jason Sklar. Bill Nye was the show's "technical expert". After five 'seasons', Comedy Central terminated their contract with BattleBots Inc. in late 2002.

Rygart Arrow, Schulfreund des Königs und der Königin von Krisna, wie auch von Zess, der als ranghoher Bediensteter in der Invasionsarmee von Athen kämpft, konnte diese Fähigkeit, trotz harten Trainigs, nicht erlangen. Hilflos und zwischen den Seiten gefangen, stößt er jedoch auf einen antiken Roboter, der auch ohne Magie betrieben werden kann und schnell stellt sich heraus, dass es keine normale Kampfmaschine ist, sondern eine der stärksten auf dem gesamten Schlachtfeld.

The show was canceled after one season, and subsequently aired on Nickelodeon GAS. The series of six shows was filmed at Shepperton Studios in England in January 2002 at the same time as the second season of the Robot Wars Extreme Warriors series shown on 'The New TNN' American television network. Both shows featured American teams and robots flown to England for the filming.
