Sonic X (ソニックX, Sonikku Ekkusu) ist eine Anime-Fernsehserie aus den Jahren 2003 bis 2005, die im Universum der Spieleserie Sonic the Hedgehog spielt und 78 Episoden in 3 Staffeln umfasst. Produziert von TMS Entertainment, lizenziert von 4Kids Entertainment, unter Aufsicht der Serienschöpfer bei Sega und dem Sonic Team unter der Leitung von Hajime Kamegaki, wurde Sonic X mit den ersten beiden Staffeln vom 6. April 2003 bis 28. März 2004 auf dem japanischen Sender TV Tokyo, gefolgt von Kids Station, erstausgestrahlt, ehe die dritte Staffel folgte, welche zunächst nicht auf japanisch umgesetzt und damit auf dem französischen Sender TF1 vom 12. März 2005 bis 26. März 2006 erstmals gesendet wurde. In Deutschland lief die gesamte Serie nahezu durchgehend vom 30. Oktober 2004 bis 26. März 2006 auf Kabel eins und dem zugehörigen Kinderprogramm Fox Kids, welches am 10. Juni 2005 in Jetix umbenannt wurde. Inhalt von Sonic X

Während eines Routine-Angriffs von Sonic auf Dr. Eggmans Hauptquartier, um Cream the Rabbit und ihren Chao Cheese zu retten, geraten Sonic und seine Freunde in eine riesige und mysteriöse Explosion und werden in eine andere Dimension transportiert.
