Jennings is situated right off Interstate 10 between Houston and New Orleans, placing it on the path of a major drug route. Investigative reporter Ethan Brown discovers that several of the murder victims were known to be police informants as well as drug users, which put them in a precarious place.

Over a decade has passed since the Jeff Davis 8 murders and the families of the victims are still searching for answers. Ethan Brown looks further into what exactly the victims may have known and what has stopped these cases from being solved. His search leads him to a shuttered motel called the Boudreaux Inn, a site of sex and drug trade activity at the time of the murders.
