She is remembered particularly for her performance in the filmPueblerina(1949), considered one of the jewels of the Mexican Cinema.Columba Domínguez Adalid born on March 4, 1929 inGuaymas,Sonora,Mexico, reaching very young with her family to theMexico City. After her retirement in 1987, Columba was devoted to dance, humanistic art, painting (coming to exhibit inEurope) and piano. In 2008, after more than 20 years of retirement from cinema, the Mexican director Roberto Fiesco, returned her to the cinema with the short filmPaloma.
