William "Bill" Pohlad ist ein US-amerikanischer Filmproduzent und -regisseur. Pohlad wurde als Sohn des Geschäftsmanns und Besitzers der Minnesota Twins Carl Pohlad und dessen Frau Eloise geboren. Neben seiner Produktionstätigkeit führte Pohlad bei drei Filmen auch Regie und schrieb zu seinem Erstlingswerk Old Explorers auch das Drehbuch. Bei der Oscarverleihung 2012 war er für die Produktion The Tree of Life zusammen mit Sarah Green, Dede Gardner und Grant Hill in der Kategorie Bester Film nominiert. Der Film 12 Years a Slave (2013) brachte ihm verschiedene Auszeichnungen und Nominierungen ein, darunter je einen Black Reel Award und Independent Spirit Award. ()

Bill Pohlad is a director and feature film producer. In 2009 Pohland launched a new motion picture distribution company called Apparition. Pohlad co-founded the firm with veteran independent movie producer Bob Berney.Pohlad also owns a movie production company, River Road Entertainment, which has offices in Los Angeles and Minneapolis. It produced several notable movies, including Brokeback Mountain, A Prairie Home Companion and Into the Wild. It just wrapped up production of The Runaways, starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.Bill Pohlad is the son of self-made billionaire Carl Pohlad, owner of the Minnesota Twins baseball team and one of Forbe's 400 Richest Americans. Bill Pohlad is also one-third owner of the Minnesota Twins, sharing ownership with brothers Bob Pohlad and Jim Pohlad.
