So auch Anwar Kongo, der Protagonist dieser Dokumentation, der in Zeiten des Genozids vom Kleinkriminellen zum Führer einer Todesschwadron aufstieg. Als er vom Regisseur des Films gebeten wird, die damaligen Folterungen und Morde szenisch nachzustellen, ist er zunächst begeistert bei der Sache, sucht eifrig Schauspieler, feilt an Dekors, Kostümen und an der Umsetzung. Doch letztlich wird er doch nachdenklich und reflektiert seine Taten.
