Die katalanische Sprache (Eigenschreibweise català auf Ostkatalanisch, [kataˈɫa] auf Westkatalanisch; veraltet auch Katalonisch) gehört zur Familie der romanischen Sprachen. Katalanisch ist Amtssprache in Andorra sowie, neben dem Spanischen, regionale Amtssprache in Katalonien, auf den Balearen und in Valencia. Es ist außerdem eine der Regionalsprachen Frankreichs (im Roussillon/Département Pyrénées Orientales).
