Ihr Ehemann eilt herbei, verprügelt und verjagt den Zigeuner. Aus Rache entführt dieser Dollie und versteckt sie in seinem Lager in einem Fass. Obwohl die Eltern umgehend ihre Tochter suchen und auch den Pferdewagen des Zigeuners nicht auslassen, finden sie das Mädchen nicht. Die Zigeuner laden das Fass in den Wagen und ziehen weiter. Beim Durchqueren eines Flusses verlieren sie es aber, so dass es im Wasser treibt und gefährliche Stromschnellen passieren muss, ehe es schließlich von einem Jungen ans Ufer gezogen wird. Der herbeieilende Vater befreit Dollie und nimmt sie wieder in seine Arme.

Firefighters ring for help, and here comes the ladder cart; they hitch a horse to it. A second horse-drawn truck joins the first, and they head down the street to a house fire. Inside a man sleeps, he awakes amidst flames and throws himself back on the bed. In comes a firefighter, hosing down the blaze. He carries out the victim, down a ladder to safety. Other firefighters enter the house to save belongings, and out comes one with a baby. The saved man rejoices, but it's not over yet.
Ein Kindermädchen ist mit dem Baby in einem Park unterwegs. Die beiden treffen auf eine Bettlerin, die vom Kindermädchen aber forsch abgewiesen wird. Rover, der Hund macht sich auf die Suche nach dem entführten Baby. Der Hund entdeckt die Bettlerin. Rover eilt nach Hause zurück und bewegt den Vater des Kindes dazu, ihm zu folgen. Der Vater läuft Rover hinterher und gelangt schließlich zum Versteck der Entführerin. Er nimmt gegen den schwachen Widerstand der Frau das Baby an sich und verlässt gemeinsam mit Rover den Dachboden. Zuhause ist die Familie schließlich wieder vereint. Die Mutter nimmt ihr Kind glücklich in die Arme.
