Professor Quincy Adams Wagstaff wird Präsident des Huxley-College, in dem auch sein Sohn Frank Wagstaff Student ist. Professor Wagstaff bändelt gleich mit Connie Bailey an, die vom Präsidenten des Darwin-College beauftragt wurde, das Footballspiel zwischen den Colleges zu sabotieren. Gleichzeitig wurden Pinky und Baravelli auf den Professor angesetzt, um die Liste der Spielzüge für das Aufeinandertreffen der beiden Footballteams auszuspionieren. Dieser wiederum beauftragt die beiden, zwei Spieler von Darwin zu entführen, damit sie für Huxley spielen können. Am Ende treffen die beiden Teams aufeinander und Huxley behält die Oberhand.

"Dad" Granville, has offered a $100,000 endowment to his old school, not knowing his son has joined the football team, but is going to withdraw it if his son plays in the Big Game against Claxton.
College student Jimmy Shaw (Bruce Bennett) inherits a racehorse, named Lightning Lad, and sells stock to fellow students in order to obtain funds for racing the horse. Lightning Lad wins very race he is entered in. Marion Braddock (Toby Wing), a spoiled rich girl who owns a racing stable offers to buy Lightning Lad, but Jimmy refuses to sell. The day of the big handicap-race arrives and Jimmy and his fellow stockholders are on their way to the track. But a group of gamblers, betting on Lightning Lad to lose, have some skulduggery plans to ensure Lightning Lad does not win the race.
Moe discovers Curley's unknown boxing talent when he knocks out the Champ at a restaurant when Larry plays "Pop Goes the Weasal" on the violin. Moe becomes Curly's manager, and they win every fight, with the help of Larry. At the championship game, though, Larry's violin breaks. Curly is getting beat down bad when Larry makes his unexpected entrance and helps Curly prevail.
